Debate

Domestic Farming and Food Supply

Contribution

There is a certain irony in the title of this debate: domestic farming. In one part of the United Kingdom, we are governed not by domestic laws but by foreign EU laws. Does the hon. Member agree about the folly of a reset that would subject the whole United Kingdom to that same disenfranchisement of being governed by laws we do not make and cannot change? Does she note that the Government are yet to tell us how much the reset on farming would cost in the EU’s demands for contributions to its budget?
