I will not give way—we will hopefully move to a vote soon. This is the right moral decision and the right compassionate decision. It aligns with our values—it should align with everybody’s values—and it is also the right economic decision. It is not in the interests of public spending to allow people to live on the streets. I pay tribute to the work of the Connection at St Martin’s, which hosted us that day. We have seen the risks that the Opposition are prepared to take with our economy. This Government are taking a responsible approach, which enables us to make those investments in some of the most vulnerable in society. I commend this Budget to the House, and I commend this responsible approach to fiscal discipline, which allows us to make those important political choices.
