I hope the noble Baroness can accept that a workable definition of a “common investment strategy” will have to be consulted on with industry to reflect operational practicalities while ensuring that it still delivers genuine consolidation benefits. As part of the consultation process on defining the common investment strategy, we will consider to what extent each member’s assets should be allocated in the same proportion to the same underlying investments. The Bill appropriately reserves that detail to regulations.
