411: After Clause 144, insert the following new Clause— “Stop and searchIn section 60(1) of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (powers to stop and search in anticipation of, or after, violence)— (a) in paragraph (a) omit “serious”, and(b) in paragraph (aa)(i) omit “serious”.”Member’s explanatory statement This new clause would lower the threshold for stop and search to “violence” rather than “serious violence”.
