In response to the noble Lord, Lord Wallace, I commend the role of directors of public health during the Covid pandemic, when they played a magnificent role. We know that there is a very key role here. In my own area, Professor Jim McManus, the director of public health for Hertfordshire, was absolutely fundamental in driving that forward. There is definitely a local role in this.
