Crime and Policing Bill

I turn lastly to the rather more contentious Amendment 414. I reassure the noble and learned Lord, Lord Garnier, and the noble Lord, Lord Davies, that the Government will definitely not accept this amendment, but I understand the intention of the noble Earl, Lord Attlee, in putting it down as a probing amendment to make the point about the different fee systems. The Government are committed to conducting more regular reviews of firearms licensing fees to ensure that they keep pace with costs, to address the particular point that the noble Earl makes about that fee regime.
