14: After Clause 7, insert the following new Clause— “Review of the cost and sustainability of the Local Government Pension Scheme(1) The Secretary of State must conduct a review of the long-term cost and sustainability of the Local Government Pension Scheme.(2) The review must give particular consideration to admitted bodies, including housing associations.(3) A report must be laid before Parliament within 12 months of the day on which this Act is passed.”Member’s explanatory statement This amendment requires the Government to review the long-term cost and sustainability of the Local Government Pension Scheme, with particular consideration given to admitted bodies such as housing associations, and to report its findings to Parliament.
