However, for those benefits to be realised, the Government need to do four things: take supportive action to enable local authorities, housing associations, LGPS pools and private investors to collaborate; support collective investment schemes to enable LGPS funds to invest in social housing; reinforce capacity building and create housing project pipelines; and, most importantly, ensure that the necessary policy and regulatory enablers are in place.
