What I think has been a clever introduction is not restricting this to the High Court but using a variety of courts right around the country in this consideration. One of the very few answers that the Government have given to my questions in trying to research this Bill recognised that nearly 250,000 family cases were disposed of—I think that is the phrase—in the courts in 2024. Admittedly, they were not principally in the High Court. There were far fewer there, but that is what you would expect. I anticipate that this could be a way forward to still have that independent view. Frankly, just having a KC automatically chairing a panel is not good enough. I think there are discrepancies there.
