Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) BillContribution
I will give your Lordships an example from my own experience. I was a part-time judge for 28 years, including in the High Court and, in particular, the Competition Appeal Tribunal, which is a creature of the High Court and is extremely effective. The chair of the tribunal, which I was, part-time, sits with two relevant experts. They still have to produce the sort of judgment—sometimes, in that tribunal, a little long—that you would expect from the High Court. I believe that it may be worth taking that discussion further with the noble and learned Lord.
