26: Clause 1, page 1, line 12, at end insert— “(e) has had their needs fully assessed by a multiprofessional specialist palliative care team, and appropriate care provided to the extent necessary to enable them to decide whether such care would affect their wish to end their life,”Member’s explanatory statement The amendment ensures that all terminally ill persons seeking to take up assisted dying support have had their needs assessed by a multiprofessional specialist palliative care team and met to the extent necessary to enable them to decide whether such care would affect their wish to end their life.
