Noble Lords always say that there is no such thing as conspiracy, but there may be a bit of conspiracy about this whole issue. I totally support Amendment 32, and I also support Amendment 33 from the noble Lord, Lord Purvis, because sometimes a bird in the hand is worth something if you cannot get two birds in the hand. I hope noble Lords will support Amendment 32. My Amendment 33A adds to the amendment from the noble Lord, Lord Purvis, and he may want to explain why he could not accept it, because it was simply adding to the fact that there should be a referendum on the Chagossian people.
