Amendment 416 to Clause 13 would remove the requirement to provide a second independent doctor appointed under Clause 13(2) with the report by the first independent doctor, setting out the reasons why the first independent doctor was not satisfied that the application for an assisted death should be granted. It was one of only 25 concessions made to those with concerns about the Bill in Committee in the other place. Dr Elizabeth Davis, a consultant geriatrician, gave evidence that:
