Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) BillContribution
Regular carers report their exhaustion, their sense that they cannot cope, and that it is all too much. Comments such as those can be made maliciously to coerce the person into assisted dying. Cases of repeated or continuous coercive and controlling behaviour in intimate and family relations have been very well dealt with today, particularly where financial interests are at stake. Amendment 52 would protect against those situations.
