Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) BillContribution
I do not want to make a long speech—at least at this stage—but I will quickly give your Lordships a couple of examples that do not relate to assisted dying but are analogous. There is a practice called cuckooing. It happened in my own family on one occasion. It is a practice whereby those with a malevolent, devious and oblique motive enter into someone’s life as a do-gooder. They take over that person’s life, and that person is completely taken in by the motivation they appear to show.
