In one example, which I know the detail of, a man of 43 with a brilliant intellect but with personal problems was persuaded to transfer his house to the cuckooers, in a solicitor’s office, with a solicitor preparing the conveyance and asserting that it was a fair transaction. When that 43 year-old man died, a remarkable solicitor called Mr Nelson in Birkenhead took hold of the case. Eventually, through his skill, the house was transferred back to the estate and was inherited by the only child of the man who died. That is a real example that you come across in a courtroom or in a family.
