Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) BillContribution
Amendment 48 was tabled by the noble Baroness, Lady Ritchie, who has given her apologies for not being here. She seeks to leave out “by any other person”. It reflects the amendment tabled by the Baroness, Lady Coffey. It does not have to be somebody who is putting you under pressure; it can be circumstances. Again, that is not a practical way of creating a proper protection or a serious criminal offence. For the same reasons that I advanced in relation to the amendment from the noble Baroness, Lady Coffey, I do not think that is possible.
