Amendment 612, tabled by the noble Baroness, Lady Hollins, proposes that there be a recording of the moment of the provision of assistance. I think that amendment is in this group because that would prove that there was no coercion. I have two points in relation to that. First, the Bill specifically requires the relevant doctor to stay until the patient has died, and I think that is adequate protection. Secondly, my noble friend Lady Merron referred to the legal issue of whether or not you can be filmed in your last moments. I was not thinking about the law, but I was thinking about the idea that this moment would have to be filmed when I might not want it to be. It felt a little intrusive to me.
