They are also used in Poland, Germany and the USA, and appear in the NATO stock-numbering store system, which allows any member of the UK Armed Forces to draw them. An overseas air person on joint exercise in the UK would be at risk of being picked up and prosecuted should they have them in public or even be in possession of them.
