133: Clause 109, page 130, line 22, after “scheme” insert “or for the purposes of complying with a GMP equalisation obligation” Member's explanatory statement This amendment makes clear that sub-paragraph (2B) (and not sub-paragraph (2A)) of paragraph 17 of Schedule 4 to the Pensions (No.2) Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 (inserted by this clause) applies to a case where pension scheme rules required pre-1997 indexation only for the purposes of removing inequalities as between men and women arising from the provision of guaranteed minimum pensions.
