137: Clause 110, page 135, line 35, after “scheme” insert “or for the purposes of complying with a GMP equalisation obligation” Member's explanatory statement This amendment makes clear that sub-paragraph (2B) (and not sub-paragraph (2A)) of paragraph 9 of Schedule 2 to the Financial Assistance Scheme Regulations 2005 (inserted by this clause) applies to a case where pension scheme rules required pre-1997 indexation only for the purposes of removing inequalities as between men and women arising from the provision of guaranteed minimum pensions.
