My Amendment 12 deals with the termination of the lease. It seeks to correct a major defect in the deal: that the UK has no right to terminate the agreement without losing the base. It is an extraordinary deal. Article 15 says that Mauritius has the right to terminate the deal. There is nothing about us or the Americans having the right to terminate the deal.
