These amendments are about ensuring that the Government, and hopefully even some of the well-intentioned campaign groups, listen and take the time to hear from those whose livelihoods, expertise and long experience will be directly affected by the legislation that is before us. I hope that the Government will want to achieve the right balance between reducing and stopping smoking, which is clearly the intention of the Bill, while working with small retailers and specialist manufacturers, so that they believe that their voices are being heard and that they can continue to contribute to our economy.
