Victims and Courts Bill

Contribution

Cashman’s refusal to turn up shone a spotlight on what is wrong with this system, and I want to thank the Government, the Minister for Victims, my hon. Friend the Member for Pontypridd (Alex Davies-Jones), the former Justice Secretary, and the Prime Minister for listening and acting on Cheryl and Antonia’s wishes. They have put victims where they belong: in the driving seat of our justice system. This injustice has gone on for far too long, and that stops now. That is down to them.
