Victims and Courts BillContribution
Campaigners have done incredible work to highlight the issue. They include Katie Brett, who others have mentioned, who launched a petition in memory of her sister, Sasha—I will not repeat the awful circumstances of her sister’s death, which the hon. Member for Forest of Dean (Matt Bishop) powerfully highlighted—and Ayse Hussein, who campaigns on behalf of her cousin Jan Mustafa. They are both part of Justice for Victims, and I also recently met Tracey Hanson, who founded the Josh Hanson Trust after the murder of her son. They have all shown courage and determination in calling for change, and they speak for many families who feel let down by the system.
