Gideon Amos presented a Bill to establish a target for the annual provision of 150,000 new social homes in England; to require the Secretary of State to report to Parliament on progress in meeting that target; to provide local authorities with further powers relating to social housing, affordable housing, and the right to buy, including to end the right to buy; to make provision for a scheme enabling social housing tenants to acquire equity in their home by virtue of paying rent for that home; to make further provision consequential on that scheme; and for connected purposes.
