Although the recent creation of a banking hub in Wymondham has already improved access to in-person banking services, Wymondham still does not have a full-service post office branch, even though appropriate premises exist. The petition, signed by nearly 1,800 South Norfolk residents, calls for a new full-service post office in Wymondham town centre. The petition states: “The petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urge the Government to encourage the Post Office to establish a full-service Post Office branch in Wymondham town centre.” Following is the full text of the petition: [The petition of residents of the constituency of South Norfolk, Declares that the creation of a new Banking Hub in Wymondham has improved access to in-person banking services; further declares that Wymondham does not currently have a full-service Post Office branch and would similarly benefit from the creation of a new Post Office branch; and further declares that appropriate premises already exist, which should be utilised to create a new full-service Post Office branch. The petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urge the Government to encourage the Post Office to establish a full-service Post Office branch in Wymondham town centre. And the petitioners remain, etc.] [P003246]
