That this House celebrates the 100th birthday of Dame Vera Lynn; thanks her for the truly inspirational role she undertook as the Forces' Sweetheart; extends its best wishes to Dame Vera on her new album in the hope that it will become a best-seller; and rejoices in Dame Vera's long life, boundless energy, warm smile, beautiful voice and generosity of spirit that spurred a generation and has inspired generations since then in a way that makes us all proud to be British.
