55th anniversary of Drumcree Women’s Institute

That this House congratulates Drumcree Women’s Institute on its 55th anniversary; notes that for more than half a century the Institute has brought women from Drumcree, Portadown and the surrounding area together in friendship and fellowship; recognises its place within the Moyallen group of the Federation of Women’s Institutes of Northern Ireland and its longstanding contribution to community life; acknowledges the generations of women who have given their time and talents to the Institute, developing skills, supporting charitable causes and providing friendship and companionship to others; pays particular tribute to its founders and to the successive presidents, secretaries, office-bearers and members who have sustained Drumcree Women’s Institute throughout its 55 years; further recognises the important contribution made by Women’s Institutes to rural and local communities across Northern Ireland; and wishes the current members of Drumcree Women’s Institute continued friendship, fellowship and success in the years ahead.
