Accountability and child safeguarding in Surrey County Council

Motion Text

That this House condemns Surrey County Council for not being open and transparent regarding its Children's Services cases; and notes that following repeated failures of the County Council’s Children’s Services, the local authority is unable and unwilling to learn lessons about their previous failures which fundamentally undermine public confidence in their continued and future ability to safeguard children.
