ACHIEVEMENTS OF VENTURERS SEARCH AND RESCUE

Motion Text

That this House applauds the continuing work of Venturers Search and Rescue, based on the Solent and comprised of boys and girls aged 12 to 18 years, who have carried out numerous rescues of yachtsmen this year; congratulates 17 year old Mathew Dann, one of the youngest Royal Yachting Association powerboat instructors, who has been in command of more than 50 such rescues in 2008; and believes that the work of the Venturers demonstrates the best qualities of character and values embodied in today's young people.
