AIRPORT CAR PARK CHARGES

That this House notes the increasing trend among airports across the UK to charge at drop off and pick up points close to the terminal even for very short times; further notes a recent report into the range of charges which found that Stansted Airport has raised charges to £3.50 for 10 minutes while Luton Airport charges £7 for 40 minutes; commends those airports such as Belfast City and Liverpool which have retained free initial parking; and calls for a review into the exorbitant charges.
