Armed Forces Week 2026

Motion Text

That this House celebrates the incredible work of our armed forces, as well as other veteran-based support organisations across the country; notes the importance of Armed Forces Week as a mark of respect and gratitude to those who have and continue to keep us safe in a time of increasing global uncertainty; highlights the proud and historic ties between Glasgow South West constituency and our armed forces, from the Govan shipyards to the Nitshill War Memorial; and recognises the vital work of charities, organisations and businesses across Glasgow South West in supporting our service personnel and brave veterans.
