That this House notes with disgust the report that Sir Desmond Pitcher and other board members of United Utilities have shared a bonus of ú462,400 whilst destroying 2,500 jobs in the once public utilities; believes that such greed is undermining British businesses and creating unhealthy divisions in society; and calls on United Utilities to think again and to consider investing the proposed bonuses and salary increases to increase services to consumers and preserve jobs for employees.
