That this House mourns the passing of Bobby Brown, former manager of the Scottish national team and St. Johnstone FC; notes that his career as goalkeeper began with Queens Park FC, Scotland's oldest football team where, following his wartime service in the Royal Navy, he was selected for his first cap for the national team and remains the last Scotland player to be selected while an amateur; further notes his ten years at Rangers FC, winning five Scottish League championships and four Scottish Cup winners' medals as well as representing the Scottish League on eight occasions; acknowledges his tenure as St Johnstone manager, where he took the club from the lower reaches of Division Two to Division One; notes his landmark appointment as manager of the national team as the first full-time manager of Scotland; recognises his achievement in managing Scotland to victory over the then World champions England 3-2 in his first game in charge; pays tribute to his work in fundraising to support the diagnosis of rare blood diseases; and conveys its condolences and respect to his friends and family.
