Motion Text
That this House notes that 250 elected members of the National League for Democracy politicians, representing 54.6 per cent. of the Parliament elected in 1990, have convened a committee to represent the People's Parliament, the CRPP, in anticipation of the continued arrests of elected members; notes also that the CRPP has been recognised by the European Parliament and is supported by the Danish Parliament and the Belgian Senate; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to give moral and political support to Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy by recognising the CRPP.
