CAMBRIAN BEACH GUARDIANS

Motion Text

That this House commends the efforts by the Cambrian Beach Guardians to clean up the coastline of Wales; celebrates its commitment to recycling marine litter and to promoting the use of biodegradable materials rather than plastics; supports its involvement in the National Beach Cleans organised by Sea Shepard with events planned at Dinas Dinlle on 3 March 2018 and Barmouth and Morfa Nefyn on 4 March 2018; welcomes the success of a parliamentary petition established by the Cambrian Beach Guardians to ban the release of party balloons to prevent them from polluting the sea; notes the hazards posed by balloons to marine wildlife; and applauds the hard work and dedication of volunteers and local communities to improve the oceans and beaches.
