CHINESE SKY LANTERNS

Motion Text

That this House welcomes the announcement of an independent review into Chinese sky lanterns and their impact on livestock, crops and the environment; notes the commitment to Government action based on the results of the study; further notes the existence of a ban on their use in Spain as of January 2012 as a result of the damage to property and death or injury to livestock caused by discarded lanterns; urges that the study is completed as quickly as possible; and calls on the Government to then act swiftly.
