That this House notes that 15th January 2004 is the third anniversary of the conviction of Christy McGrath, a young, upcoming, Irish jockey for murder with a minimum sentence of 16 years; recognises that over the last three years a substantial body of evidence has been identified which casts considerable doubt upon this conviction leading to calls for a retrial from honourable Members, Members of the Dail, fellow jockeys and trainers, and numerous Irish community organisations; and considers that it is now time for Christy's case to be referred to the Court of Appeal.
