EUROPA SCHOOL, OXFORDSHIRE AND THE EUROPEAN BACCALAUREATE

Motion Text

That this House congratulates the staff, pupils, governors and wider community around the Europa School in Culham, Oxfordshire; notes that the school has been oversubscribed at every admissions round since it opened and that the School achieved a 100 per cent pass rate for students who completed the European baccalaureate in 2018; welcomes the fact that pupils at the school sit the European Baccalaureate; further welcomes that in the event of leaving the European Union the school can continue to offer the European Baccalaureate qualification up to August 2021; but is deeply concerned at the lack of agreement to continue to do so beyond 2021; and therefore urges the Government and the European Schools board of governors to secure an agreement to allow Europa School to continue to offer the European Baccalaureate beyond 2021.
