That this House joins the people of the Falkland Islands in celebrating Liberation Day on 14th June 2006, the 24th anniversary of the day on which Her Majesty's Armed Forces heroically liberated the Islands and secured the unconditional surrender of the Argentine forces; reaffirms the continued support of the United Kingdom in maintaining the Islands as a self-governing British Overseas Territory; and welcomes the Union Flag continuing to fly over the Falkland Islands.
