Frome Carnival

Motion Text

That this House celebrates the return of Frome Carnival, the community it helps create and the money it raises each year for charity; recognises that carnivals are a long-standing and valued cultural tradition across the UK, and particularly in Somerset; notes that carnivals bring together people of all ages and backgrounds; supports the volunteers and the local fundraising and sponsorship efforts that make these carnivals possible; further recognises the increasing financial challenges that many carnivals face; and further supports the continuation of Frome Carnival, and others around the country, which reflect local character, tradition and community.
