G8 SUMMIT

Motion Text

That this House notes the G8 Summit which the UK is hosting and is scheduled to occur in County Fermanagh in June 2013; and expresses the hope that any demonstrations will be peaceful and that G8 leaders will seek not just to acknowledge the extent of the international recession but to offer employment and growth prospects to communities deeply affected by the downturn and especially to the millions of young people across the UK and Europe who face the prospect of unemployment and austerity for years to come.
