Motion Text

That this House is concerned by the proposed closure of the Gidea Park Post Office in Romford; recognises the vital importance of this post office in serving the local community of Gidea Park; urges the Government and Post Office Ltd. to listen to the views of all local people during the consultation process and reverse the policy of closing sub-post offices; acknowledges that the Gidea Park Post Office provides the community with their only source of accessing vital services and therefore calls on the Government to accept the essential and continuing need for this and other sub-post offices throughout the Romford area to remain in operation.
