That this House congratulates Gretna Football Club on its outstanding performance in the Scottish Cup Final, taking the game to extra time before losing only on penalties to Heart of Midlothian Football Club; congratulates owner Brooks Mileson, Chairman Ron MacGregor, Secretary Helen MacGregor, Manager Rowan Alexander and all the players and staff at the club on all their efforts; recognises the positive impact that Gretna FC has had on Scottish football and the local communities; congratulates the 12,500 Gretna fans who travelled to the game for their exemplary conduct and spirit; and notes that having won the 1st Division Championship Gretna have secured a place in the UEFA Cup and wishes them well in their endeavours next season.
