GUN CRIME

Motion Text

That this House welcomes the All Party Parliamentary Group on Gun Crime's report, 'Combating the threat of gun violence'; supports the recommendation to ban imitation weapons and implement further controls on deactivated weapons; notes the recommendation that the universal arming of police should not be introduced; calls on the Police and other government agencies to improve co-ordination and information exchange on the issue of gun crime; and urges the Government to honour the election manifesto commitment to implement full extra-territorial controls on UK arms brokers operating abroad.
