Harrogate Brigantes Rotary Nepal flood appeal

Motion Text

That this House acknowledges the generosity of the Harrogate Brigantes Rotary Club to support people affected by the devastating floods in Nepal; recognises their commitment to raising £10,000 to help rebuild communities; congratulates them on their previous achievement to raise £10,000 in 2015 to be distributed by the Himalayan Gurkhas Rotary Club; recognises the urgent humanitarian needs facing those who have lost homes, livelihoods and access to essential services; recognises the significance of members’ journeys to Nepal to volunteer in local towns; and wishes them all the success in raising money for this important cause.
