Motion Text

That this House recognises the life and work of Harry Frew, former UCATT Scottish Secretary and STUC President, who died in August 2023; recognises his lifelong work as one of Scotland's trade unionists over many years and his work as a painter and decorator; sends condolences to his family at this time; further recognises his work to increase pay and conditions for all workers at home and abroad and against inequality and injustice; recognises the esteem in which he was held by his many friends and colleagues; and offers condolences to all who knew him.
