HURRICANE IVAN

Motion Text

That this House recognises the devastation and loss of life caused by Hurricane Ivan in Grenada, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and other parts of the Caribbean; recognises the large number of concerned UK citizens who have family in the region; further recognises that large parts of Jamaica and Grenada are now flooded and that people in the affected regions are now without electricity or clean water; and calls on the British Government and the international community to provide immediate help to these devastated areas and long-term assistance in rebuilding their economies.
