John Caulfield, Headway UK Outstanding Contribution Award finalist

That this House congratulates John Caulfield of Stanley, County Durham, on being named a finalist for the Stephen McAleese Outstanding Contribution to Headway Award in the Headway UK Annual Awards; notes John’s unwavering commitment since 2004 to caring for his son following a traumatic brain injury, as well as his instrumental role in establishing Headway County Durham to provide support for survivors and their families; further notes his long-standing voluntary service as a committee member, trustee and organiser of regular drop-in sessions, as well as his involvement in the Look Ahead in the North residential weekend at the Calvert Trust, Northumberland; recognises the vital role played by carers and volunteers like John in improving the lives of those affected by brain injury; and wishes him every success at the forthcoming awards ceremony.
